Mila Cherneva from the Capital newspaper actively uses the APIA in her journalistic investigations and initiated number of lawsuits led against institutional refusals.

Cherneva works on public-wide discussed topics. She investigated about data on the sale of online vignettes from the Road Infrastructure Agency; the expenditure of half a billion levas on the maintenance and repair of dams done by the State Consolidation Company and the Sofia Municipality works on street repairs in six Sofia neighborhoods.

Mila Cherneva won the “Golden Key” award in the category "Best journalist story related to the access to information right" on the Right-to-Know Ceremony 2020.
